News: Burian and Scaglione bid adieu to Rosetta
Life is made of ever so many partings welded together, as Charles Dickens put it. From 1 October 2012, Veronika Burian and José Scaglione have ceased to be partners at Rosetta Type Foundry. They have taken this step to strengthen their focus on the improvement of the TypeTogether retail library and tailored-fonts service. We wish them best of luck and extend our thanks for their generous help with the start-up of Rosetta Type Foundry. Rosetta will continue with its established team of talented designers, with David Březina as its director. It will carry on with its efforts in providing high-quality fonts for a variety of the world’s writing systems.
Rosetta is committed to providing continuous updates and support to all customers, no matter where they bought their previous versions. Let us know if you have any questions or simply stay in touch to receive our news.
This font development is similar to the birth of Arial or Helvetica in English. “The results were stunning,” added Bahmani. (…) Bahmani tested NASSIM against the TAHOMA font and concluded that “the results demonstrated a 5x increase in reading speed.” (…) The new Persian VOA site (as shown in the graphic above) “was extremely well received and many users commented on how much better the site looks and how much more readable the text appears; there are no spacing, no kerning, and no proportion flaws,” added Bahmani.
These wefonts are available from Fontdeck (low.cost solution) and from our custom service (better quality, higher price).

We are very proud to find out that three of our typefaces have been selected. Nassim was reviewed by Thierry Blancpain of Grilli Type, Neacademia by Florian Hardwig, and Sutturah, the typeface with taste for loose women, was supremely sketched by Nicole Dotin of the Process Type Foundry fame.
