David will give a lecture called Challenges in multilingual type design on Typography day 2012 in Mumbai. This Indian typographic conference is organized by the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) with support from India Design Association (InDeAs) and Aksharaya.

This font development is similar to the birth of Arial or Helvetica in English. “The results were stunning,” added Bahmani. (…) Bahmani tested NASSIM against the TAHOMA font and concluded that “the results demonstrated a 5x increase in reading speed.” (…) The new Persian VOA site (as shown in the graphic above) “was extremely well received and many users commented on how much better the site looks and how much more readable the text appears; there are no spacing, no kerning, and no proportion flaws,” added Bahmani.

We are very proud to find out that three of our typefaces have been selected. Nassim was reviewed by Thierry Blancpain of Grilli Type, Neacademia by Florian Hardwig, and Sutturah, the typeface with taste for loose women, was supremely sketched by Nicole Dotin of the Process Type Foundry fame.
